This lovely reproduction salad or dessert plate of dark turquoise porcelain circa 1888 is found in the Biltmore house and once enjoyed by the Vanderbilt family. The china is a revival of rococo style denoted by its swooping, curving design and sumptuous use of gilding and rich color. This porcelain salad or dessert plate is part of a series of pieces carrying the same design motif. 8 1/2" diameter. Not recommended for dishwasher or microwave use.
